About Jack

I was born and raised in Sheridan, Wyoming. At an early age I developed an interest in art, aspiring to become a cartoonist or comic strip artist like Charles Schulz, Jim Davis, or Mort Walker. I had also developed a passion for music and had started to learn to play drums at the age of 10; spending my teenage and high school years developing my music career and wanting to become a rock star.

After years of playing in various bands throughout the area, one of which had reached a moderate level of success, I decided to “retire” from the music business and enrolled in the Art Institute of Colorado; to further pursue my art interest that I still had inside of me. After graduating from the Art Institute and earning my degree in Graphic Design, I have continued to pursue my new dream.

During school, I developed a strong passion for photoshop and image manipulation, though I am familiar with all aspects of the Graphic Design field. While in working in Denver, I gained experience with creating vector-based logos and art, and also with large-format printing and layout; and now have become more involved in web design.

After graduating from the Art Institute of Colorado, I returned to Sheridan and spent time working for Michelle Miller at Sheridan Design; before becoming a freelance designer. I have also recently been doing some photo retouching projects for Stephen Pannone of New York's designojo.

Jack’s Designs has given me the chance for me to showcase the artwork I have been creating, as well as have a digital portfolio of my designs. Enjoy!
